Continuing education unit (CEU) requirements for nurses, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), and Licensed Practicing Nurses (LPNs), differ by State. Some states require no CEUs to renew a license, while other states require up to 36 contact hours from an approved continuing education provider every 2 years.
